For Disability Teams
Neurofit gives disability teams and case managers the objective cognitive data they need to evaluate return-to-work readiness — not just physical metrics. Structured reports. No self-report bias. No guesswork.
The Problem
Most RTW assessments measure whether someone can physically perform job functions. But for knowledge workers, managers, and anyone whose job requires sustained attention, decision-making, and cognitive endurance — physical clearance tells you almost nothing.
Cognitive deficits after brain injury, burnout, or mental health crisis can persist long after a claimant appears physically ready. Without objective cognitive data, disability teams are left relying on self-report — which is both biased and difficult to defend in adjudication.
Neurofit closes that gap. Standardized, longitudinal cognitive performance data collected over weeks — not a single snapshot in a testing room.
| Traditional RTW | Neurofit-Informed RTW |
|---|---|
| ✗ Physical readiness only | ✓ Cognitive readiness data alongside physical |
| ✗ One-time snapshot assessment | ✓ Longitudinal performance over weeks |
| ✗ Self-reported cognitive status | ✓ Objective, task-based measurements |
| ✗ No longitudinal data trail | ✓ Structured, claim-ready reports |
How It Works
Once the treating clinician sets up their Neurofit account, claimants receive an invite and can complete their first session the same day — no proprietary hardware, no IT integration, no scheduling delays. Disability teams are added as viewers with read-only access to the live case file.
Each report includes domain-specific scores, trajectory charts across the full assessment period, session-by-session performance summaries, and a clinician notes section. One-click PDF export — formatted to attach directly to an adjudication file without reformatting.
Neurofit runs in a desktop web browser — no downloads, no travel to a testing facility, no specialized software. Claimants complete 15–20 minute sessions on their own schedule, in the conditions they actually live and work in. That means performance data reflects real-world cognitive load, not a controlled clinical environment.
The treating OT manages the claimant's program in real time; your case manager accesses the same live reports with read-only access. No chasing down progress notes, no re-submitting data between teams — both sides work from the same source of truth, at every stage of the claim.
Cognitive Domains Assessed
How quickly the brain processes and responds to information — critical for time-pressured work environments.
The ability to hold and manipulate information in real time — essential for following instructions and multi-step tasks.
The capacity to maintain focus over extended periods — a direct prerequisite for knowledge work and professional roles.
Planning, decision-making, and cognitive flexibility — the skills most relevant to management and professional judgment.
Case Study
Return to Work · Burnout & Cognitive Deficit
A senior executive sustained a cognitive deficit following a severe burnout episode. Physical clearance came quickly — but her cognitive readiness for a high-demand role was unclear. Standard RTW assessment couldn't capture the nuance.
The disability management team worked with the treating OT to integrate Neurofit into the RTW plan. Over 8 weeks, the team tracked processing speed, working memory, and sustained attention — in the real-world conditions of daily cognitive demand, not a testing room.
The longitudinal data showed clear, consistent improvement across all domains — giving the adjudicator the objective evidence needed to support a phased RTW plan months ahead of the standard timeline for this type of claim.
“The Neurofit data gave us something we've never had before — a clear, objective picture of cognitive recovery over time. It made a difficult adjudication decision straightforward.

Client cognitive performance data is never sold, shared, or used for training AI models. Access is strictly limited to the authorized treating team and the insurer case file.
FAQ
Neurofit is typically prescribed by the treating clinician (OT, neuropsychologist) as part of a rehabilitation plan. The disability team works with the treating clinician to define the assessment period and performance benchmarks. At the end of the period, both sides review the same structured report to inform RTW decisions.
Neurofit's data is objective, task-based, and longitudinal — which makes it far more defensible than self-report or one-time assessments. It supplements (not replaces) clinical evaluation. We recommend engaging your legal and compliance team to review the data in the context of your adjudication standards.
The adaptive nature of the exercises makes consistent gaming difficult. Neurofit tracks performance across multiple sessions over weeks — patterns of inconsistency or effort variation are visible in the longitudinal data. No assessment tool is manipulation-proof, but Neurofit's continuous tracking provides significantly more signal than a single-session snapshot.
Book a discovery call with our team. We'll walk you through the platform, discuss integration into your existing RTW workflow, and review BAA and data-sharing agreements. Most disability teams are operational within 2–4 weeks of signing.
