For Insurers & Disability Managers
Neurofit gives insurers and TPAs objective, longitudinal cognitive data to evaluate return-to-work readiness — not just physical metrics. Structured reports. No self-report bias. No guesswork.
The Problem
Most RTW assessments measure whether someone can physically perform job functions. But for knowledge workers, managers, and anyone whose job requires sustained attention, decision-making, and cognitive endurance — physical clearance tells you almost nothing.
Cognitive deficits after brain injury, burnout, or mental health crisis can persist long after a claimant appears physically ready. Without objective cognitive data, adjudicators are left to rely on self-report, which is both biased and adversarial.
Neurofit closes that gap — with standardized, longitudinal cognitive performance data collected over weeks, not a single snapshot in a test environment.

What You Get
Neurofit measures reaction time, accuracy, sustained attention, memory recall, and processing speed — through real cognitive tasks, not questionnaires. Performance is observable, not self-reported.
Unlike one-time neuropsychological snapshots, Neurofit captures cognitive performance over weeks or months. You see a trajectory — not just a moment in time — which is far more defensible in adjudication.
Export formatted progress reports that include domain-specific scores, trajectory charts, and session summaries — ready to attach to an adjudication file or share with a treating clinician.
Neurofit bridges the gap between the treating clinician and the disability team. Both sides see the same objective data — reducing disputes, accelerating decisions, and improving outcomes for the claimant.
Cognitive Domains Assessed
How quickly the brain processes and responds to information — critical for time-pressured work environments.
The ability to hold and manipulate information in real time — essential for following instructions and multi-step tasks.
The capacity to maintain focus over extended periods — a direct prerequisite for knowledge work and professional roles.
Planning, decision-making, and cognitive flexibility — the skills most relevant to management and professional judgment.
Case Study
Return to Work · Burnout & Cognitive Deficit
A senior executive sustained a cognitive deficit following a severe burnout episode. Physical clearance came quickly — but her cognitive readiness for a high-demand role was unclear. Standard RTW assessment couldn't capture the nuance.
Acclaim Ability Management worked with the treating OT to integrate Neurofit into the RTW plan. Over 8 weeks, the team tracked processing speed, working memory, and sustained attention — in the real-world conditions of daily cognitive demand, not a testing room.
The longitudinal data showed clear, consistent improvement across all domains — giving Acclaim's adjudicator the objective evidence needed to support a phased RTW plan months ahead of the standard timeline for this type of claim.
"The Neurofit data gave us something we've never had before — a clear, objective picture of cognitive recovery over time. It made a difficult adjudication decision straightforward."

Privacy & Compliance
Neurofit meets HIPAA (US) and PIPEDA/PHIPA (Canada) requirements for the handling of health information. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with strict access controls.
BAAs are available for enterprise and insurer partners. We'll work with your compliance team to ensure Neurofit fits your regulatory requirements before onboarding.
Client data is stored in Canadian and US data centres, in compliance with provincial and federal data residency requirements for health information.
Client cognitive performance data is never sold, shared, or used for training AI models. Access is strictly limited to the authorized treating team and the insurer case file.
FAQ
Neurofit is typically prescribed by the treating clinician (OT, neuropsychologist) as part of a rehabilitation plan. The disability team works with the treating clinician to define the assessment period and performance benchmarks. At the end of the period, both sides review the same structured report to inform RTW decisions.
Neurofit's data is objective, task-based, and longitudinal — which makes it far more defensible than self-report or one-time assessments. It supplements (not replaces) clinical evaluation. We recommend engaging your legal and compliance team to review the data in the context of your adjudication standards.
The adaptive nature of the exercises makes consistent gaming difficult. Neurofit tracks performance across multiple sessions over weeks — patterns of inconsistency or effort variation are visible in the longitudinal data. No assessment tool is manipulation-proof, but Neurofit's continuous tracking provides significantly more signal than a single-session snapshot.
